The rain lashed against the small aircraft’s windows, and visibility was next to nothing. Most passengers sat in nervous silence, gripping their seats. But I wasn’t afraid. The man in the cockpit, Captain Rana, was a dear friend of my father’s, and he knew these mountains like the back of his hand. As the plane approached the valley, he took a route most would never dare—one usually reserved for flights to Jomsom. Navigating through the mist and mountain ridges, he landed us with effortless precision. That moment solidified something deep within me: travel is about knowing the land, trusting your expertise, and making the impossible look easy.
